ASNP Co-Founder Russo Addresses Special Needs Forum

Special Needs Answers co-founder Vincent J. Russo was a featured speaker at a recent conference on special needs trusts (SNTs) hosted by the Stetson University College of Law in Clearwater Beach, Florida.

Russo addressed his attorney audience on the topic of "Incorporating Special Needs Trusts into Your Practice." Russo and his co-presenter Laughlin Waldoch, an attorney in Tallahassee, Florida, discussed some of the issues that arise in an SNT practice, including relationships with referring attorneys, mediation, settlements and their allocation, structured settlements, conservatorships or guardianships, liens and estate recovery, taxes, and the investment of SNT assets.

Stetson's College of Law, based in Tampa, offers one of the nation's leading elder law and special needs programs and the College hosts an annual conference on SNTs. This year's conference was held October 19-20.
