Mike’s passion for helping people led him to open Oak Wealth Advisors in 2008 so that families with special needs members seeking experienced and objective financial advice could access the same quality of service that has traditionally been available only to the very wealthy.  Having a brother on the Autism spectrum, Mike has a first-hand understanding of the challenges and joys living with a family member with special needs bring.  His mission is to assist individuals and families in achieving financial security and enjoying their lives to the fullest extent possible.

Mike’s career includes leadership positions with three of the most respected independent financial advisory firms in Chicago prior to his founding Oak Wealth Advisors.  In addition to his professional experience, Mike has served as president and/or treasurer of a number of Chicago-area special needs charitable organizations.

Mike enjoys sharing his expertise and has done so through teaching classes on special needs financial planning at Texas Tech University, the University of Illinois, and the University of Wisconsin.  He has also written articles for the Chicago Sun-Times, and has been featured or quoted in numerous national publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, and Financial Planning.
