Profession LogoFINANCIAL PLANNER

I have been living in the Northwest for over 25 years now and consider this region my home. I met my wife of 18 years while living here and we have a beautiful daughter. I am a graduate of  UNC-Chapel Hill, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Physics. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, camping with my family, and mountain biking all over our beautiful state. I have been involved in financial services and planning for over 19 years and have seen a lot of transformation in our craft.  The one fundamental that has NOT changed is the idea that good planning and accountability can get us through the best of times and the worst of times.  I believe that everyone is given an ever changing box of financial puzzle pieces that, when put together properly, can reveal a clearer picture of financial security and well being.

My favorite, and most rewarding part of being a CFP® Professional is building long term relationships with our families and our community to help become steward of their financial future.  The world is changing faster than ever before and I am proud that our planners and our firm are positioned to help navigate all of the ongoing and never-ending change.

It is Mainsail’s privilege and great honor to be able to serve others in this way.  If we can help guide our families toward making more informed financial decisions that take them into a more meaningful and enjoyable future, then we have succeeded in our mission.

I have had the privilege of being designated a *Five Star Wealth Manager by Seattle Magazine in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

*Based on 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria, including a minimum of 5 years as an active credentialed financial professional, favorable regulatory and complaint history, accepts new clients, client retention rates, client assets administered, education, and professional designations. 2452 Seattle area wealth managers were considered for the award; 266 (11 percent of candidates) were named 2018 Five Star Wealth Managers. (The criteria provided reflects the most recent year for which advisor received the award. The criteria used, the number of wealth managers considered for the award, and the percentage of those who receive the award, may vary from year to year). These awards are not indicative of the wealth managers’ future performance. Your experiences may vary. For more information, please visit www.fivestarprofessional.com.

Firm Description

As a team, I and my firm strongly believe in goal-based planning. We know that proper planning is an ongoing process and a relationship driven activity, and that as the winds of life shift, a proactive approach is needed to maintain the correct heading. We take pride in building a long-lasting relationship that evolves into a dual role of financial steward, and trusted financial advisor for you, your family, and your legacy.

Our focus is working with individuals and families who have questions or concerns about their current financial picture, long-term security, future lifestyle, and legacy planning. By taking a comprehensive and detailed approach, we work with you to develop a sound and realistic financial plan that can give you clarity and can help reduce uncertainty as the path to achieving your financial goals become more well-defined.

When working with families with special needs and considerations, these are some of the areas we focus on:

  • Gaining a greater understanding of government benefits
  • Looking at strategies available to preserve and protect those benefits (such as SSI and Mecaid)
  • Understanding of more nuanced areas of planning such as funding Special Needs Trusts
  • Benefits of a Letter of Intent
  • Determining how to fund a lifetime of care and maintaining the best possible quality of life

It would be a privilege to talk with you and learn more about your family and your goals.
