Attorney Jeanne Vatterott-Gale is co-founder of Hunt & Gale in Yuma, Arizona, with attorney Gerald Hunt, where she serves clients statewide and nationally. Jeanne Vatterott-Gale is an experienced attorney who has been helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve their goals for more than 25 years. She is a trust and estates specialist certified by the State Bar of Arizona, also practicing in the Imperial Valley of California. She has a diploma in taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law where her studies focused on estate planning and taxation, as well as a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Saint Louis University. Mrs. Gale has significant experience in cases involving financial exploitation particularly of vulnerable adults.

Mrs. Gale previously worked in the public sector, having served as the Assistant General Counsel for the City of St. Louis Redevelopment Authority, and as staff attorney for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C. Since moving to Arizona, she has also provided services to the Cities of Somerton and Yuma.

Experience and Education

Ms. Gale graduated cum laude from Saint Louis University School of Law and is admitted to practice in Arizona, California, and Missouri. In 2001, she completed a program in taxation at the University of San Diego Law School.

Ms. Gale served the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a staff attorney and worked for the St. Louis Redevelopment Authority as associate general counsel. She is also a sought-after scholar who has served as an adjunct professor at St. Louis University School of Law, professor at Arizona Western College, and in administrative positions at Stanford Law School and Boalt Hall.

In addition to her practice and work as a teacher, she is an active member of the legal community. She holds membership in the State Bar of Arizona, where she is a member of the Probate and Trust Section. She also serves on the Arizona State Bar Committee on Continuing Legal Education.

She concentrates much of her practice on advising individuals and families in financial matters, such as estate planning, estate administration, and probate matters. Attorney Gerald W. Hunt is a veteran lawyer who has been practicing for more than 40 years. He and attorney Jeanne Vatterott-Gale are co-founders of Hunt & Gale, which provides high-quality legal advice to individual, municipal, and commercial clients across the country.

Experience

Gerald Hunt, having obtained an LLM in taxation from Washington University in St. Louis, is recognized as an AV Preeminent (5.0 out of 5.0) rated attorney. He was elected as a fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel. A former trust officer, he has extensive knowledge of the fiduciary and reporting requirements of trustees in revocable and irrevocable trusts, and of other fiduciaries including personal representatives, majority business owners, and partners and LLC members. He has served as an attorney for dozens of businesses, assists them in their operations, personnel issues, real estate and land use needs. He has represented many of Western Arizona’s preeminent business enterprises, real estate developers, financial institutions, agribusiness ventures and the estate and succession planning needs of the families behind them. Mr. Hunt further has extensive experience in the Municipal and Public Agency Law, having presided as city attorney for the Cities of San Luis and Somerton, and the Towns of Parker and Quartzsite and assisted many quasi-governmental entities, including industrial development authorities, economic development agencies, municipal property corporations and other public entities.
