Maria got the calling to practice law after years spent as a stay-at-home mom, raising three children in Cumming, GA.

Maria’s youngest child, Jordan, has special needs and her challenges in life inspired Maria to represent kids with special needs and their families through all the especially difficult aspects of life…from building a strong family unit – even in the face of divorce – getting the needed services for the children, navigating the school and IEP years, to guardianship and life management beyond childhood.

Maria is guided by what is in the best interest of the child and strives to keep family relationships happy and healthy during trying times.

The Forsyth Law Firm is a boutique firm in Cumming, Georgia.  Our mission is to empower families to create a legacy of love, joy and abundance through investing in Real Estate. The firm's practice areas include Special Needs Planning, Estate Planning, Real Estate and a limited number of Medical Malpractice cases.  At first glance, this mix of practice areas may seem eclectic or odd....until you know the story behind that mix.

Our firm's founder, Maria Keller, never thought she'd be - or want to be - a lawyer.  The calling came to her later in life after she saw that kids with special needs often times were not treated as equally as other kids...Maria has three children, one of whom had special needs.  Maria and her family experienced what it was like to be viewed as "less than" or "not worthy enough" of the best things in life based on her daughter's special needs...Maria knew it was up to her to change that impression of kids with special needs. 

When Maria's kids got old enough, and were in school all day, Maria decided she needed to apply her energy to making a positive change in the world...and it occurred to her that representing kids with special needs and their families would be her calling and her life's purpose....and that is how the Forsyth Law Firm was born, with it's unusual mix of practices areas...all of which help kids with special needs and their families build a life and legacy of joy, love and abundance through thorough planning and investing in Real Estate.

Although Maria’s daughter with special needs unexpectedly passed away in 2021 at the age of 23, Maria has decided to carry on her work in honor of her daughter, Jordan.  We believe that kids with special needs and their families can live full and impactful lives, and it is our mission to empower those families to live a life and build a legacy full of joy, love and abundance.
