Brett has over 20 years of experience in the investment and insurance industries.  Over half of that time has been spent with a focus on special needs.  This type of planning is very personal for Brett as he has family experience with the distinct challenges faced in this type of planning for the future.

He has both under graduate and graduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin Madison.  He double majored in Political Science and History and received his MBA.  He holds the Charter Special Needs Consultant and Certified Financial Planner designations as well.

Mr. Bauch has served in half a dozen firms over twenty years as a trader running the margin department inside a broker dealer, plan and portfolio designer, managing representative, office of supervision jurisdiction compliance specialist, independent financial planner, and investment specialist. 

He has served as a board member of Wispact (Wisconsin Pooled and Community Trusts) which is one of the largest special needs pooled trusts in the country.  Two consecutive years were spent as chair of the board of directors.  He currently serves as treasurer for GiGi’s Playhouse Madison, a Down syndrome achievement center.

Brett enjoys being in the outdoors in his free time.  He has climbed Devils Tower with his nephew and later with his sons Sam and Jake as well as Kilimanjaro with his wife, Katie.  He has reached the summits of Grand Teton and Denali and spent numerous weeks canoeing through the Quetico Provincial Park.  Brett also enjoys kayaking, fly fishing, and watching his sons’ gymnastics, track, and dive competitions with his amazing wife.
