New Reality TV Show Follows Lives of People with Down Syndrome

TVA new six-episode reality TV series follows seven people with Down syndrome and their families as they go about their daily lives.

"Born This Way," produced by the same company that created "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," features young adults from southern California, including a musician, a golfer and a woman who works at an insurance company.  The series also talks to the cast members' families to learn what it is like to raise a child with Down syndrome.

The show will begin airing on A&E on December 8th at 10:00 p.m.  The network has partnered with Best Buddies International to air public service announcements while the show is on the air to increase awareness of issues affecting people with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities.
