The Tilden Law Firm
I have a passion for serving the disability community with special needs trusts and alternatives to guardianship.
I am an advocate for a better world, both locally and with state legislators in Olympia. Parents of special needs children cannot do this alone. They are in a constant fight to get their child’s needs met in school, medical settings, employment, and housing. The good news is that they do not have to do it alone: PEACE NW is a tiny but mighty nonprofit helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families get needs met at all stages of life. I am proud to serve on their board. I also have served five years on the governing board for Washington’s Developmental Disabilities Endowment Trust Fund, which manages a $77 million pooled special needs trust for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
I earned my JD from Columbia University Law School following a BA in Political Science from UC Berkeley. I take my role as a trusted advisor to individuals and families in the disability community very seriously. I share resources well beyond the legal documents, making sure families know who else is out there to serve their needs-- from nonprofits, to financial advisors, to governmental agencies. My client's journey has been my journey too.
