Katie focuses her practice on special needs planning for individuals with disablities and their families. As a parent of a child with special needs, she shares both personal and professional knowledge with the families she represents. Katie commonly establishes first and third party trusts for individuals with disabilities, counsels families during various stages of their family member’s life and program eligibility, benefits planning, and guardianship. She guides families through the legal processes necessary to protect and ensure benefits, as well as connects families to trusted advisors and providers in the disability community. Katie is dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals as independently as possible and maintain their dignity. Katie also works closely with family members to administer estates and trusts upon a loved one’s death.
Katie graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, and the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. She began her career at two of Chicago’s largest law firms before establishing her private practice in 2001.
Katie is licensed in both Illinois and Wyoming. In Illinois, she has office locations in Lisle, Illinois. In Wyoming, she holds quarterly special needs planning clinics in Jackson, Wyoming. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her family, swimming, and tennis.
