Firm Description

We are an elder law and disability law firm that solves Medicaid planning - paying for nursing home & long-term care costs - and estate planning problems for our clients in a narrow range of areas.

We care about our clients and the work we do for them, but do not let ourselves lose the distance we need to be good advisors and advocates in assisting them in the tough life decisions and actions they must take.

Caring about clients is not enough. We know we need intelligence and knowledge to convert that care into good results. Add to that decades of experience so that we are able to pick the right path quickly and pursue it vigorously. We know from experience that even in the worst of times there is reason – indeed, the need – to laugh. Life is too short and too hard not to laugh with our clients and at ourselves from time to time.

Elder law, which is our main area of practice, covers a broad array of issues that affect the aging population, among them are: Medicaid planning and applications, special needs trusts, estate planning, medical decision making, guardianship and conservatorship. We are located in Rockville, Maryland, and work with clients throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C. We also work with attorneys from Hawaii to Maine as a consultant or expert on Medicaid and special needs trusts matters.
