Employment experience:
Prior to beginning the “Cox Law Group” law firm, Ms. Cox initiated the Estates and Trusts division of the Annapolis law firm, Hyatt & Weber, PA. (“Hyatt”) Many of the systems Linda created for Hyatt & Weber have been refined and incorporated into Cox Law Group to offer Cox Law Group clients cutting edge legal services in the estate and business planning arenas.
Ms. Cox maintained a privtate Annapolis law practice from 2000 to 2008, which focused on estate and business planning and litigation, including State and Federal commercial litigation and family law. Ms. Cox also served as an Assistant County Attorney in Anne Arundel County and Baltimore County from 1994-1997, where she defended the municipal Police Departments, Community Colleges, the Board of Education and the Detention Centers in tort actions and alleged constitutional violations, typically in United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
Ms. Cox’s complex litigation background provides her a unique understanding of how best to avoid estate planning pitfalls for clients, especially given individual family dynamics.
Ms. Cox has lectured on Business Law at Towson State University and Dundalk Community College, she taught a Maryland Bar Review Course for several years and English as a Second Language (“ESL”) at Prince George’s Community College. As a college student, Linda tutored French for the Baltimore County Home and Hospital School. Ms. Cox has presented many estate planning seminars and workshops on various estate planning topics since 2005.
