Attorney Pope has long been regarded by clients and colleagues alike as one of the finest Elder and Disability Law practitioners in Connecticut. She currently serves on the Executive Committees of the Elder Law Section and the Estates and Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, and is a member of the CBA Veterans and Military Affairs Committee. She is also the Past-Chair of the Elder Law Section. In 2006, she was awarded the Pro Bono Award by the CBA. Attorney Pope is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys including the Connecticut chapter, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, serving on their CLE Committee, and the Academy of Special Needs Planners, where she is currently a member of the Steering Committee for the ASNP Conference. She has earned her accreditation as a Veteran Affairs Claims Attorney and certification as a Medicare Set-Aside Consultant.

Attorney Pope was appointed Professor Emeritus status at the University of Hartford when she took an early retirement in order to practice law full time. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Michigan's Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Attorney Pope is frequently invited to speak on topics of interest.

Attorney Pope is active in the community and serves as a Director on several non-profit Boards, including the Brain Injury Association of Connecticut, the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) and she is a Commissioner on Hartford’s Grandparents raising Grandkids Commission. She also serves on the Ethics Committee for New England Home Care, and on the Public Policy Committee for the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter.
