Bill attended Brigham Young University, receiving his B.A. in American Studies in 1982 and his J.D., cum laude, in 1985. He subsequently clerked for the Honorable Ricardo Hinojosa, United States District Judge, Southern District of Texas. A native of Washington, Bill returned to the Seattle area in 1987, passed the Washington State Bar exam and worked as an associate attorney at the law firms of Karr Tuttle Campbell (1987 - 1991) and Short Cressman and Burgess (1991 - 1992). In January 1993, he opened his own office in Lynnwood. Bill practiced on his own for approximately eleven years until January 2005 when he joined his practice with Jacob Menashe to form HICKMAN ¨ MENASHE, P.S. Bill is the past Chair of the Elder Law Section of the Washington State Bar Association, a member of Washington State’s NAELA chapter, and speaks regularly in front of service groups, such as the United Way, helping to educate people about estate planning and other needs. Bill plays a vital role in his church and community and enjoys spending time with his family.
