Denise W. Fike is the CEO of the First Maryland Disability Trust, Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission it is to provide quality trust and fiduciary services to those who are disabled.

Denise attended Villa Julie College (now Stevenson University) and worked for over 27 years as a paralegal, handling personal injury claims, medical malpractice cases together with guardianships, estates, and trusts.  She then moved on to work with Susquehanna Trust & Investment Company as a Trust Officer where she handled client’s investment management accounts and all types of trusts, including Special Needs Trusts.

In 2007, Denise met members of First Maryland’s Board of Directors as it was getting off the ground.  Multiple collaboration meetings later, Denise began working with FMDT in 2009 and became Executive Director in 2011.

While Denise serves as CEO of FMDT, she also currently serves as Executive Director of PLAN OF MD-DC, Inc., as the two non-profit organizations work to merge their services.   Both FMDT and PLAN assist families and clients with disabilities by providing cost effective trust services, serving as a financial power of attorney, guardianship, and case management.
